'Human Rights' have been universally recognised as 'Natural Rights' under the sponsorship of the United Nations. All these days the subject of Human Rights has been taught as part of International Public Law as the Subject has been considered as an exhaustive one, the Bar Council of India made it a separate subject to be dealt with in detail to make the BL students well versed with the 'current international fundamental concepts'. The UNO incorporated the Human Rights in its Charter and declared 'Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and arranged other international covenants on different subje'cts. Indian Government enacted the Protection of Human Rights Act, 1993 and established National and State Human Rights Commission and established Human Rights Courts in Districts.Though there are a number of books on Human Rights, the books based on the syllabus of Bar Council of India are rare. Hence the author attempted to bring this volume. An attempt has been made by the author to bring this subject within the reach of the law graduate and post-graduate students by presenting the subject in simple language and in lucid style based on the syllabi of different Universities, National Law Institutes and the Bar Council of India.
