This book gives and overview of the position of working women in India since ancient times till present times; specific professions in organized sector where women are employed. Further the conceptual and theoretical framework relating to women and crimes is put forth. The Book gives a glimpse of international scenario of working women in various regions of the world such as position of working women and their workforce participation in developed countries; western countries, Gulf countries and amongst regional organization group countries such as G-20; SAARC; OECD etc. The current picture of working women in India in organized as well as unorganized sector in various professions such as medical, nursing, legal, judiciary; teaching, sports, journalism, agriculture, brick kilns, domestic help etc. and discrimination at workplace and other types of crimes to which they are exposed to at workplace such as UDHR; ICCPR; ICESCR; ILO Conventions; CEDAW and domestic laws relating to working women are critically evaluated.
